Besides the settings per node, every workflow has its own settings, behind the gear icon in the top bar. There you find the name, the message type, the thank-you message after payment, the weekend and due date rule, and the link with settlement profiles.
Overview
| Setting | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Name | Shown in the top bar; use a name that says what it is for, for example "Rent reminder NL" |
| Message type | Invoice, Reminder, Periodic, Informational or Confirmation. Message nodes then only show templates of that type (templates without a type are always shown). See Message types |
| Thank-you message after payment | Which informational template the customer gets after payment, with the channels in order (for example first email, then SMS). This applies to the whole workflow, so the message nodes have no separate exit for "thank you for paying" |
| Weekend and due date rule | Sending on a weekend moves to Monday; the due date is at least three days after the send date and moves along with it |
| Settlement profile | Which profile applies to settlements started on collection orders in this workflow, or whether settlements are blocked |
| Starting workflow | Whether this workflow is the default for new collection orders that have no workflow given (star in the overview) |
| Email and SMS sender | The sender address and the SMS sender name for this workflow; visible to everyone, can be changed by POM |
Starting workflow
A client has at most one starting workflow (counting workflows and classic flows together). Collection orders that come in through the API or a file without a workflow start in the starting workflow. In production, only a published workflow can be the starting workflow. A client can also have no starting workflow; then every delivery must state a workflow.
Good to know
- Settings at workflow level apply to every collection order in that workflow; settings per node apply only to that step.
- Send days, send hours and blocked dates are settings of the client, not of the workflow. See Send times, days and blocked dates.
- Respite (paying after the due date) is currently a setting of the client; a setting per node will come later.
