Sends the collection order in a direction based on conditions. You create rules (if amount greater than 1000, if language is FR). The rules are checked from top to bottom; the first rule that matches decides the exit. If no rule matches, the else exit follows.
Ports
| Port | Meaning |
|---|---|
| in | Input |
| Rule 1, rule 2, ... | One port per rule, in order |
| else | Always there, cannot be deleted |
Settings
- Rules: an ordered list, at most 50. Add and delete with plus and minus; the order decides which rule goes first.
- One or more conditions per rule: variable, operator, value (fixed or another variable), which you can combine with AND and OR.
- Operators: equals, does not equal, greater than, less than, greater than or equal, less than or equal.
Examples
| Goal | Rule |
|---|---|
| High receivables to a letter sooner | amount ≥ 1000 → letter; else → email |
| A different template for business customers | variable 3 equals BUSINESS → business email |
| Skip customers under financial administration | label equals Administration → Create task |
| French-speaking customers | language equals fr → French workflow (Switch workflow) |
Good to know
- The first match wins: put the most specific rule at the top.
- Catch empty values explicitly with a rule of their own ("variable 5 equals empty") instead of counting on them ending up in else; the behavior for empty or non-numeric values is still being worked out.
- With names for free variables (Settings > Workflows > Labels and variables), rules stay easy to read.
- Mixed AND/OR conditions are read from left to right; keep rules simple or split them.
