You cancel a running payment promise in the collection order panel with Cancel payment promise. You must choose how the collection order continues after that.
How to do it
- Open the collection order (via the customer, or via Agreements > Payment promises and ā¦).
- In the section of the promise, click Cancel payment promise.
- The dialog asks "Are you sure you want to cancel this payment promise? The collection order continues according to the chosen failure strategy."
- Choose the Failure strategy (required):
| Failure strategy | What happens |
|---|---|
| Fallback to flow of choice | At Recovery flow you choose a flow in which the collection order continues. |
| Create task, pause collection order | The collection order pauses and a task is added. |
| Resume at original step | The collection order continues at the step from before the agreement. |
| Resume at current step | The collection order continues at the step where it is now. |
- Confirm. You see the message "Payment promise successfully cancelled" and the promise gets the status "Cancelled".
Good to know
- The cancellation appears in the timeline of the collection order as "Payment promise cancelled by {name}".
- Permissions: you need Manage payment promises. See Roles and permissions.
