A settlement profile sets how a payment plan works: how many terms, how often, how strict after a missed term and which messages the customer gets. You can have several profiles and one default profile.
Why profiles
The portal explains it like this: "Settlement profiles let you use different settings for different groups. For example, you can apply a stricter collection policy for some customers, or a more flexible policy for others. This helps you match the collection process to the specific needs of different customer segments."
How it fits together
- Every settlement in Agreements > Settlements shows below the subject which profile was used.
- The profile with the Default profile badge is used when no other profile is chosen.
- For each flow, you choose which profile applies when the customer requests a settlement themselves on the self-service page in MyCase.
- When an employee creates a settlement in the portal, they choose the profile at that moment.
- A profile has three parts: Profile settings (behaviour), Terms (number, amount, frequency) and the communication for each moment (first term, in between terms, last term, reminder, direct debit announcement, after full repayment).
